Comments
Comments: Following the directions of Beth Z and the Bonds, we crossed the stream then headed up the gravel logging road for .8 miles, took a right at the fork and continued another .8 miles to where the road fizzled out. Road in good shape covered with lots of flowers. The further we went the thicker the grass and flowers but still nice. Once the road disappeared, we beat feet through fairly open woods eventually dropping down to the border swath slightly right of the road still showing on Gaia. We walked the swath following ATV tracks down and up to the summit. Mostly dry with muddy or watery sections at some of the lower points. Jar was easy to spot as we made our way along the ridge. Signed in and headed back down the swath to a spot just before a cliff section where ATV’s head into the woods to bypass the cliff. Decided to bushwhack from here. Ironically, our line followed the road that showed as the left fork of the gravel road we had followed from the car. There is little to no evidence of that road at this point: nature has pretty much reclaimed the land. Came across a moose skull and vertebrae shortly before we reached the fork. Followed the gravel road back to the car.
