Comments
Comments: We did a bushwhack today, from FR 44 off of Bear Notch Rd. to the summit of Bartlett Haystack. The first half of the hike was fairly open woods with a gradual climb. The last half was fairly steep and somewhat thicker, with blowdowns and Rocky ledges to navigate around. About 30 yds. from the summit is a ledge outcrop with fantastic views to the west and north. Well worth the minor bushwhack effort. Great day out with Hiker Ed, Lew Dow and his wife Jenny.
