Virtually none. A bit of a breeze in many sections. During lunch at the Kate Sleeper junction, plenty of mosquitoes but no biting. A few attacking black flies there. |

| Comments: |
Great weather for a mellow hike. I've been watching the Saco River basin and Pemi-Lincoln streamflow gages to decide when to do this trail, and now seemed good. Just a hop required on the first crossing, all others could be easily walked across. Saw five other hikers....three solos and a couple. All of us were surprised to see others here on a weekday. |
