Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Road Access on both Magalloway and Tower Roads were in great condition (we felt); the one caution is the low area which has been "barricaded" by branches preventing the whole pond/swampy area from overtaking Tower Road. Little boy in the car said that THE BEAVERS MADE THAT! WHOA (hahaha). *it had just rained several hours so the puddle were growing a bit.

Comments
Comments: We know that the recommended loop is clockwise (COOT for the ascent, BOBCAT for the descent); however, given the anticipated slick conditions with the rain storms overnight and throughout the morning, we ascended BOBCAT and descended COOT. SO GLAD THAT WE DID! BOBCAT was "Bobcat River" haha... very slick, muddy. We knew that COOT would have time to dry out by the time we needed to descend- and it did! When we visit this lovely mountain again in the future- we shall go the same way again regardless of the weather (counter clockwise).
