Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water levels in the area were all pretty low today
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: 5-10 blowdowns on bottom half of the north side of the loop. Bicknell Ridge sign is missing. It was gone in May when I was up there
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Only extremely experienced, athletic mountain dogs should be doing this loop. Even those will need a boost in several spots on the ledges. dog should be comfortable on steep ledges and rock scrambles. Also several very steep scrambles on both sides of North Peak.
Bugs
Bugs: Lots. Flies were the main offenders today. Tis’ the season! still tolerable without net or repellent
Lost and Found
Lost and Found:

Comments
Comments: Early bird gets the spider webs! Ate about a hundred today. trail was very dry and views were magnificent. Ledges on South Peak are really fun if you’re into that sort of thing. Lots of tricky scrambles. Chandler Gorge is a neat little spot, despite very little water in the Brook currently. Very rugged loop, one of my new favs. only saw a few people all day with the early start.
