Peaks
Peaks Table Rock (Dixville), NH
Trails
Trails: Huntington Cascades Trail, Three Brothers Trail, Middle Brother Spur, Table Rock Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, July 3, 2022
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: It's a large gravelly area on the west side of route 26, just east of the notch. Very huge and should never be fully packed.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Two crossings of Cascade Brook. There's a misplaced bridge for the first one, but both were easy rock hops.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Excellent considering this is a lightly used trail. A bit poorly marked in some areas but experienced hikers should have no trouble following the trail. The Middle Brother Spur is somewhat overgrown, though it's worth the time/effort.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw plenty. All dogs I saw at Table Rock were leashed, and it should be mandatory considering the terrain there.
Bugs
Bugs: Not an issue today

Comments
Comments: This was my first visit to Table Rock, so I can't comment about the other routes. I can say that this route was a beautiful and very rewarding way to get there. It's mostly easy climbing, though book-ended with steeper sections (nothing crazy). A little busy on the rock, but I'd say 90% take the Table Rock Spur from the west (a few might take the crazy steep trail as well). Did make it all the way to the end, though didn't stay long as it was windy and honestly quite unnerving.

The real bonus with this route are the cascades at the beginning-really cool gorge!
