Love this route up to Washington and it was somewhat popular today. 9 folks that I know of went up Hunt. I followed a nice young couple from CT up Huntington but took the Alpine Garden route back to Lion's Head. Been to Washington plenty and Alpine Garden was spectacular. One the way down I tagged along with a trio from Portland and we all ran from the Hermit Lake Shelter junction to the last bridge near Pinkham where we all sat in the ice cold water to cool off--awesome! What a day in paradise! |
