Comments
Comments: I chose to take EHBW on the way in. I wet high at the start to avoid some of the bog. The heard paths faded in the tall vegetation through the birch glades. With ferns up to my chest, I had to feel around to avoid the random hidden blowdowns and bog holes. After that it's easy woods to the trail (as long as you don't drop down below the 3,100 ft. contour). This isn't much of a time saver like it is in winter. I stuck to the trail on the return.

Nice day for Isolation and not overly busy for an July 4th hike. I crossed paths with about 15 other friendly hikers all day, including a couple doing an overnighter who finished their 48 last night on Iso, and another hiker heading in to finish her 48!
