Parked at the parking lot on the right on Black Mountain Rd. just before the Class VI road starts.
No real place to park on the actual Class VI Road. |

I would not drive up the Class VI Road, because of the lack of parking. The only real parking would be just before the trail
starts, but to get there, you need to pass thru some drainage ditches across the road. You want a truck with a high angle of
approach or you'll probably lose a front bumper.
Besides, you're not saving yourself much walking. Starting at the parking lot is 2.2 miles and only took 53 minutes to the summit. |
