 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Success Pond Road was rough on the initial hill (washboard), but otherwise decent (beware of random large rocks).
Short access road to the trailhead is hindered by a washed out culvert at the beginning. One could squeeze through the side, but could run the risk of getting blocked in. Most opted to park on the side of Success Pond Road. |

 | Comments: |
Success Trail was generally dry. The slabs were all dry and the mudpits were relatively dry as well.
Mahoosuc Trail was generally dry, though there were still a few deep mud pits between bog bridges. Lots of broken bog bridges as well.
Herd path to the 1954 DC 3 plane wreck was initially harder to navigate than I remembered, as there are now numerous intersecting and dead-end routes. Pretty obvious once on the AT boundary (head south).
Another day of beautiful summer weather with mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the 70s, and a breeze. Trails not too crowded. |
