Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: water a little high on some crossings - waterproof boots a must!
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: blazes in the first 2 miles were sporadic at best - would be easy to lose trail. Above that, there are around 6+ significant (chainsaw-worthy) blowdowns. Above Shingle Pond, blazes turned green. Trail thru clearing was difficult to find - I had to try a couple times to get out on the correct logging road/trail. Trailmarkers were very small!!! I considered turning the GPS on to have a track to follow back but was OK anyway.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: good footbed most of the way - would be good for dogs - plenty of water.

Comments
Comments: Interesting and scenic trail. Kind of hard to follow the trail at times. Awesome views from AWESOME firetower!!! Still decent color viewing. Nice pond (Shingle Pond).
