Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All were easy rock hops.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: There is a major reroute on the Bicknell Ridge Trail about halfway between the beginning of the trail down below and the Eagle Cascade Link above. A crew from the USFS was working on the new reroute. I was told they were rerouting the trail because the older portion of the trail was beyond repair. Looks like there is a new spur to the Emerald Pool.

Comments
Comments: This would have been a great hike if not for the heat and humidity. I had to take my time due to my age and the heat. There were a couple of rock scrambles that required your attention when on the Baldface Cr Tr nearing the Meader Ridge. There is no sign for Eagle Crag(follow the cairns to the right which will guide you to Eagle Crag). The views are incredible and well worth the effort. Coming down the Bicknell Ridge Tr requires your attention but the views along the trail are well worth it. After the Eagle Cascade Link the trail enters the woods and the grade eases. The reroute as stated above starts halfway down and is all soil. Might be interesting when wet.
