Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails are in fine shape. A couple of minor blowdowns on Martha's mile easily stepped over.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Brady met up with several other dogs along the trail. All well behaved and enjoying the hike. Although Cherry Mountain Trail appears to parallel Carter Brook it really only makes close contact near the trailhead. The rest of the trail was completely dry, so bring extra water for your pup.

Comments
Comments: Nice hike on a cloudy and somewhat cool summer day. The trails have good footing throughout. Cherry Mountain Trail starts out with a moderate warmup but gets increasingly steep as you go. Martha' mile is well maintained with moderate grades until a rooty, rocky scramble near Owl's Head.
