Comments
Comments: all trails wet, muddy and slippery with fallen leaves contributing to the slickness down low. beyond those immediate conditions trails are in good shape. first time since spring i spent a whole hike in long sleeves and even put on my winter hat up high. wind protection was nice today even for the short bits of exposure along this route.
based on the forecast i looked at yesterday i wasn't expecting the beautiful weather we were graced with today. the views were clear and crisp, but a bit hard to enjoy for too long given the somewhat strong and cold winds on the summits. clouds were starting to move in as i descended, but had nice clear views of snow capped washington up high. great to be out.
