Comments
Comments: Enjoyed this hike though it is a bit of a but kicker.
The stretch along Stoney Brook is quite scenic and must be especially nice when there is more water.
The trail starts off at a moderate grade but becomes rather steep and challenging at about the half-way point. You will know you are about to start the ascent when you cross a brook at about 1.5 miles. After that, it's all in with steep grades and somewhat rough conditions. You'll be rewarded with a fine view at the summit!
