 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Half Moon Pond Rd becomes a Class IV road at Martin Road. With some careful maneuvering, my low-clearance Subaru made it to the parking pullout 0.6 miles beyond that point without bottoming out, though I'm not sure I'd do that again. |

The MSG map shows parking 0.6 miles beyond Martin Road; it's really a cleared area on the west side of the road at the junction, with plenty of room for other vehicles to pass. I parked here, went up and back to Lovewell on the MSG (with some nice new waterbars! Thank you for your hard work!), returned to my car and did a quick up and back to Kittredge since I was in the neighborhood. As noted in previous reports, the highest point is just off the east side of the trail, now with a massive spruce tree across it. Nice to visit new places. |
