Comments
Comments: Just happened to come across the trails here as I was driving home. The trails are blazed in blue with a sign stating "New Boston Recreational Trail" at the start of the woods road. I first followed one of the trails out to Bailey Pond and back. The pond is in an interesting location, as it's surrounded on all sides by steep-sided hills.

I came back to the car and followed another blue-blazed trail (or the same one; it wasn't really clear) to the other side of the pond and up to Hooper Hill. Here, I stumbled upon an old rope tow ski area and gazebo. Looks like this still might be used by locals. Interesting find. I also did a short bushwhack behind the ski area up the flat summit of Hopper Hill. Nothing there but trees. Looks like the blue trail continues on over Hooper Hill, perhaps making a loop around the pond. Didn't have time to check it out today.
