Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Small pull off next to Eagle Cliff trailhead allows maybe 8-10 cars. 2 cars in late AM, none upon return. No apparent parking at Teedie trailhead that I could see but it’s a quick road walk back to Eagle Cliff trailhead.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: All trails clear and well blazed throughout. My mileage came in about 0.4 miles longer each way than signage indicates.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No standing or running water seen anywhere, a couple puddles at Red Hill summit. I took the bypass on Eagle Cliff and avoided the steep ledges.
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nope
Comments: Rummaging thru old photo albums I found a couple old pics of me in my youth on Eagle Cliff so I had to go back. Lots of growth since and still pretty good views but not the wide open views from 1965. Red Hill fire tower is solid and offers great views in all directions. A kiosk at the summit has a bit of history, and there’s a picnic table for lunching. Nice spot!
