Comments
Comments: Logging has affected the Austin Brook and Dryad Fall Trails. On Austin Brook Trail go straight across first log yard, the trail is just off to the right. Trail then leaves road to the left after a while at a well marked sign. After passing along a stream the trail comes to a road and a bridge, turn left and then immediately right at signed fork with Gates Brook Trail. Follow the road for a while. After crossing a bridge and heading uphill there will be a lot of logging slash on the left. The trail turns left here. Sign is at the edge of the trees. At next open area, trail goes straight up the middle on an old road between two logged areas. This road leads to the Dryad Fall Tail intersection. The Dryad Fall Trail continues steeply up the road. There is a sign for the falls where the trail enters the woods. The falls are large but hard to see. Coming down from Gentian Pond the trail intersects a road, turn left on road and eventually will see a road to the right at a fork. This quickly leads back to the Dryad Fall Trail intersection.

A nice loop, no AT hikers at this time of year. Only saw one party of three hikers and a dog near Gentian Pond.
