Trails were mostly dry.
Significant construction continues on the ski area, and the bulk of the base area remains closed. Haul rope is currently being spooled, so it is dangerous to attempt to hike the main mountain trails. The gravel access road avoids this construction.
Cloudy morning giving way to a partly sunny afternoon. Surprised at how many people were starting in mid-afternoon; the days are getting short, particularly on the north side of this mountain.
Foliage is quickly approaching peak. High elevation birch are gold and dropping. Nice colors in the valley as well. |
