Nice 2.4 mile hike up to Owls head for fantastic views of the Presidentials and Crawford notch. Beautiful day with no wind. Colors near peak towards Presidentials. First 0.6 miles of hike is rather squishy with some big mud sections but after that it’s relatively dry with a steady up…. Last push to the summit is rather steep. Beautiful forest with many mushrooms of all kinds…. Last one down for the evening so I had solitude all the way down. Great hike. |
