Comments
Comments: Trails were mostly dry. Not much in way of mud. Very quiet, apart from Mt. Major.

From the Beaver Pond-Straightback Mountain Trail junction, we took the latter while it slabbed uphill, then stayed straight where Straightback Mountain turned sharply uphill. We followed this snowmobile trail over to the Blueberry Pasture Trail, avoiding the latter's rocky portion. We also took the snowmobile trail up to North Avery Hill, which had nice views of Straightback, as well as a narrow framed view of the lake.

Nice fall day with sunny skies and temperatures in the low to mid 50s. Chilly breeze.
