| Comments: |
The herd path starts around elevation 2210’ at 3.3 miles from Signal Ridge TH. A compass reading of 295 degrees up to elevation 2880’ will generally follow the herd path. Above elevation 2880’ and at 3.7 miles used a compass bearing of 345 degrees. Once entering the talus field there are two different cairns on opposite side. We didn't see the cairns until the return trip down the talus field. We went up to the top of the talus field and jumped into the woods. Once entering trees, the herd path is reasonably clear to follow to summit. At summit, there is no chair anymore and the canister log is a bit high, especially for those of us who are vertically challenged. |
