Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All small and rock hops / step over
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in great shape. Yellow Blazes up to tree line; then cairns were easy to follow above trees. Obvious worn trails in the scrub spruce approaching summit.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Coop had a great hike and was the only pup on these trails today. This is not a trail for the first time hiker dog. The ledges are most challenging from the point entering above tree line to the boulder. The initial ledge to the point above tree line is tricky & Coop had no issues, but I could see other pups having lots of trouble. At the very least, you may need to boost your pup at a few spots due to the higher ledges. Plus, all the bouldering could be an issue on doggie paws (booties are good to have along just in case). Lots of water on the trail below tree-line; multiple small crossings of flowing water. But once above tree-line there were no water options, make sure you have sufficient water for this section of the hike.

Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost top of a Nalgene water bottle, which I realized only after I had water running down my back....

Comments
Comments: Great day to be out. Needed this peak for the TW72, and I only had a few hours in the afternoon. This peak fit the bill perfectly; relatively short hike, above tree-line in around a mile for excellent views and an opportunity to take in the foliage. I was concerned about the steepness, but it was not that bad. Only really challenging spot was just entering the section above tree-line where there is a scramble and ledges to content with, but this section was short. The bouldering was not a difficult as other peaks, plus there was a very nice long section passing through scrubby spruce on approach to the summit.
