All were easy rock-hops. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Six blowdowns on The Direttissima, including two that were creating herd paths. Some of the bog bridges on Boott Spur Trail are on their last legs. Some sections of the Glen Boulder Trail above Glen Boulder passed through dense small evergreens encroaching on the trail, making it narrow enough that one gets brushed by branches on both sides. One blowdown in the lower half of Glen Boulder Trail (somewhat below Glen Boulder). All the trails were well marked by blazes and cairns, easy to follow. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
The Glen Boulder Trail has a few scrambles that might be difficult for most dogs, though we saw one that was having a great time. |
|
| Bugs: |
None. |

| Comments: |
The weather was better than predicted: mostly sunny (the forecast predicted low 30s F on Boott Spur, but it was surely much warmer than that), mostly clear, not much wind. We saw no ice or snow anywhere. The mountains are covered in green, yellow, and red trees, though the peak of foliage colors might still be a week or two away. |
