A MAGNIFICENT evening in the forest was had. It's been a very, very long time since I've been able to write a report, only 55 days, but who is counting. Met with my surgeon this afternoon who gave me the green light to get back on the trails. Healing is more or less done! When I told him about this cherry picked route, he was even more pleased. Such an amazing feeling to be back near Moosilauke, a peak that changed everything for me. If you ride horses, it was the "what happened before what happened happened" moment for me. Amazing how this area and I have such an understanding. A quick and great little hike to the 10th Mountain Division outlook, following mainly old skidder roads (great footing) with little gain. As expected, saw no one. Great views where afforded if you know where to look. IKYK :P |
