Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parked at the dirt surfaced lot for Edmands Path off Mt Clinton Rd. This is a paved, 1.5 lane road that is a bit rough with some buckling and bumps. Any slow moving vehicle will be fine. This road is gated in winter. We got there at sunrise, few vehicles in the lot. Upon our return at 11:30, the lot was overflowing onto road side parking. The lot has a kiosk in the woods, no privy. Packed out a tampon applicator from the woods…

Comments
Comments: Edmands Path was covered in a dusting of new snow this morning. No ice or anything requiring additional foot gear. It was quite windy and socked in at the summit for our early morning ascent. My son got his 48th New Hampshire 4000 footer so we didn’t care about the lack of views. Way to go, dude! 62 of the 67 New England 4000 footers summited!

Edmands Path is well travelled, well blazed in blue. No blowdown obstacles. Busy little trail today as the skies started to clear. Very friendly people out and about. The water point up near tree line was running nicely today for those needing water replenishment. No mud, some slick rock ledges that are simple to negotiate.

Mt Eisenhower Loop is marked with large carins that were visible in today’s cloudy and windy conditions. The light snow did not impede our ascent or descent in regular hiking shoes/boots. Summit marked with a larger than life carin.
