I'd only hiked Mt. Crag once before so I figured I'd try a different route. This approach is a bit Jekyll and Hyde, as Gates Brook Trail is mellow and super easy up to the junction, then Yellow Trail takes over and gets pretty steep. Fortunately, the distance is short at only 0.8 mi. from trailhead to summit. Spectacular views from the summit ledge today thanks to the amazing weather. |
