Comments
Comments: A MAGNIFICENT day in and around Henry's Woods was had. A superb return of 'Stupid @&!% Sundays.' Our original plans where for middle and west but adding south 'just made sense,' because - well - its us. This was was surprisingly straight forward. We found generally great woods through the entire hike, the worst part was leaving Middle and heading towards West, but that was more or less subjective due to the great going all day. We enjoyed stops on each summit, it should be noted, YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE THE HULK and tighten/strip things. Some ziplock bags will help going forward. Found lots of old skidder roads. It was really great to be back out in the woods after surgery and some other health issues. Unique views of Franconia Ridge, Moosilauke, The Bonds, Osceolas and Scar Ridge. Sunbathed in the parking lot in t shirts in late October. Awesome. Three cheers (or hitchcocks) for good (and improving) health. How lucky are we?
