Comments
Comments: Excellent day for this hike. Mount Hayes has a beautiful ledge and views - well worth the effort. Lots of leaves, drifting into the pathway, sometimes over a foot deep. Be careful on foot placement as there have been ankle injuries in the Whites due to these deep leaves. Glad to have my dog ahead of me so I can observe his foot placements. Saw several patches of ice crystals towards the summit. Otherwise a windy but clear day.
