 | Comments: |
Typical late fall conditions today with a mixed bag of mud and leaves to fresh powder. The only time I really needed spikes was on the steep part ascending Owl's Head on Martha's Mile, although I continued wearing them on the descent down Owl's Head Trail since I already had them on. I was the only person who has hiked Cherry Mtn Trail from Cherry Mtn. Rd since the last snowfall and there was a solid 6+ inches of fresh powder on the trail for the majority of the day. There's not enough snow for snowshoes yet but it's almost time. Cherry Mtn. Trail to route 115 has been used much more heavily and myself and one other person hiked that section today. Nobody else had done Martha's Mile or Owl's Head Trail besides me. |
