Took a walk up the access road to Fort this afternoon. The road was dry with no ice or snow encountered. Near the access road gate is a recently deceased raccoon and at the summit were two porcupines doing their thing. I chatted with someone who told me that the porcupines are regular visitors. So if you bring a dog here you may want to have them leashed and under control.
I didn't visit the ledges as one of the porcupines was guarding the herd path and I didn't want to freak it out, but I did take the other herd path out to the northern outlook. Very clear air today made for great views. |
