Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails all well maintained, yellow blazes on Vista Tr could use a refresh, with more added on trees. A few small cairns on open ledges may be too low to be useful under snow cover. Also, first open area on Vista (from Piper-Whiteface Connector) could use a couple cairns or blazes, a little hard to find trail through that section with snow on the ground likely hiding ground blazes.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Sure, a couple out today, enough small streams/seeps flowing right now.
Bugs
Bugs: None
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: n/a

Comments
Comments: A mix of trail conditions on these small mountains. Mostly a thin layer of crusty snow (2 in)throughout, but the actual footbed in most areas is clear of snow. Piper-Whiteface Conne tor Tr had several icy spots on ledges, but enough spots of bare rock to maneuver safely without traction. Vista Trail also had patchy ice and some snowier sections.

Great views from both summits on this clear day.

Carried traction but didn't need it today.
