Barebooted the whole hike. Saw five other hikers, only one was wearing traction. Once on the CMT the snow was not as consolidated as the trails below, but had no problems without traction. Left our packs just off the trail for the bushwhack. Some thick spots, hood up to avoid snow falling off trees, but it was a short walk to the summit. Beautiful day, not as much wind as anticipated. |
