Old Highway was only doable for someone with an all terrain vehicle. Made it in Ry's jeep just fine, but you would not catch me cruising my VW midsized SUV down that. |

Rattlesnake if you want a million people, Livermore if you want to run into a person or two on a lovely walk. Or just do both!
Beautiful day out there, snow conditions were comparable to walking on a frozen pizza that has been freezer burned. Microspikes not necessary but I did wear mine for a brief section coming down Rattlesnake since I don't like the traction on my hiking boots as it is. Old Mtn Road was much better than the conditions reported last Thursday, froze up well.
