Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trail is well maintained, wide and easy to follow. Directional aids are provided along the trail, as well. One duck under about 0.1mi from summit.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Cooper enjoyed this quick hike. I noticed a lot of fresh paw prints at the start of the hike, and no accompanying fresh boot prints. Dog or coyote? I didn't want to chance it, although they would likely have been long gone, plus the trail is on private property. So, I kept Coop on a leash, which was not problem since trails were gradual and easy to navigate.

Comments
Comments: Many thanks to bikecamphikegirl for the description of the trail identifiers. As she noted, once walking west along rt 2. there is an arrow on a fence directing you up a grassy field, where you see more arrows showing your the way to the path. Once in the woods, there are friendly direction aids to guide you to the summit and the glorious views. They also placed a bench in the prime viewing location looking towards Jefferson, Wash, Monroe, plus views of the bonds and Twins and more. Great add on hike if you have extra time and are going by...
