Trails are in great condition. Just enough packed snow to cover the rocks and make for a fast track. Wore rock spikes (Nano’s would work in the rocky sections) for the clockwise loop of Hedgehog (followed the new relocated trail and could see where it has bypassed a consistent muddy area, thank you to those who worked on that!).
Took spikes off after the Downes Brook crossing on Potash Mt Trail and put them back on about .5 from the summit and wore them back to the car. Mixed bag of conditions on Potash. Definitely dulled the spikes on the ledges, but was glad to have them on for the descent. |
