Parked at Rocky Branch late morning. There were maybe 6 other cars. When we returned a little before 1pm, even more cars had just arrived–– but there was still plenty of parking. |

Hall's Ledge Trail, from Rte. 16
A little bit of everything on this hike, although no ice or post holing. Because of the southern exposure of Hall's, there was very little snow left in areas on the steeper accent. More snow up top, but nothing that spikes or snow shoes would have helped with. That may not be true on the Carter Notch side Hall's, though.
I'd recommend spikes just to be on the safe side, but neither me or my hiking partner needed them–– although they might have helped with some of the leaves! |
