Comments
Comments: Trails are almost completely snow-free, and any wet spots were frozen solid this morning. Beyond the ledges, trails were icy in some spots, but ice could be avoided with some care. The 0.2-mile Ranger Cabin Trail -- which connects the South Ridge Trail with the West Ridge Trail -- was the worst, with ice covering large sections of the open granite ledges; again, with care, the ice could be avoided. With temperatures warming a bit today and tomorrow, some of this may dry out. The summit cone of Mt. Cardigan is almost completely snow-free.
