 | Comments: |
We were planning to hike to South and Middle Moat but Passaconaway Rd was blocked by a tree that fell on powerlines during the night. We tried via Echo Lake State Park instead. Hiked up to White Horse Ledge and then went up through Red Ridge Trail. That was a long haul and we missed time to summit Middle Moat. Winds were strong on the ridge and trails conditions were variable ranging from dry to icy ledges to manage with care in places. Our watch estimated elevation gain at 4200 feet! |
