A MAGNIFICENT day was had near Henry's Woods. This one checked a lot of boxes for us, none more important than close to home and trying to beat the rain. Exceptional lines where found by Nordic_Gal, even even more exceptional woods where had through the entirety of our hike. We opted to go straight for Bickford, and found great woods, although we did find evidence of cutting up around the cliff bands, and what felt like herd paths. We found a nice view spot on Scarface, though it was mentioned that there where some ledges by the Mountain Wanderer, we did not have much luck finding the one at 2750. Great going continued over to Big Bickford, which has an expansive and glorious birch glade about 200 feet south east from the height of land. Unique views of Garfield Ridge, North Lafayette, Garfield, the Twins, and the Northern Presidentials (including Washington) where afforded from here. Earlier in the day we where able to spot Jay Peak, as well. We came down in absolute hardwood heaven, that would give the Isolation Express and Fire Warden's glades a run for their money. It was absolutely a feast for the eyes. It is worth noting that through the entire hike, we kept finding, and losing, what we think is a hunter. It was absolutely hilarious to keep losing it and finding it again.
