 | Comments: |
A spectacular day, with the wind calming just as I reached Mt Pierce. Just a couple of folks (one heading up, two heading down) until I reached Pierce, plenty of people up there, mostly coming down. The micro-spikes went on at the Mispah Cutoff (where I continued up Crawford Path) came back off somewhat below that. No need for snowshoes or crampons today. Views from Pierce towards Eisenhower and Washington were fantastic, a bit windy and chilly at lunch at the top of Eisenhower but a fine day out in the White Mountains. |
