Spectacular day for hiking with bright sunshine and a dusting of snow.Tempertures rose into tne upper twenties in the afternoon.
Some ice on upper portion of Cherry Mountain Trail as well as on Mount Martha Spur Trail and Martha’s Mile. I didn’t use traction ascending but other’s put them on. On descending I put on my Hillsound Trail Crampon Ultra and kept them until the icy sections had sections disappeared about half way down the Cherry Mountain Trail.
Met 4 other solo hikers one of whom had a nice dog.
