 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Room for 3-4 cars at the end of Mousely Brook Rd where Doane Trailhead is. My original plan was to park at the J-Trail parking area on Quintown Road, but the plow stopped at the last house roughly .2 miles or so on Quintown and I wasn’t going to risk it. Mousely Brook Rd was well sanded and not a problem for the front wheel drive sedan I was driving. |

 | Comments: |
A one inch layer of fresh powder covered up all the ice, roots and rocks, but provided no purchase. Got to be alert right now. Old Katoolah Micros on at 2.6 miles up on Doanes. Kept them on until they started balling up on Cross-Rivendell Tr..
No wind until the fire tower where it was gusting a bit. J-Trail (a part of the AT) is outstanding. The hardwood and softwood forests are beautiful and the grades are gradual. There is even a nice peek through the trees of neighbors Cube and Mousilauke. |
