Trail generally had a dusting of snow (never more than half an inch). A few blue ice bulges around the mud pit about halfway up, but otherwise not much ice underneath. I was able to shuffle across the largest ice patch without issue (and without trampling vegetation on the side of the trail). Some may prefer spikes for that short stretch, but otherwise they'd be overkill for the time being. |
