Comments
Comments: Trail was broken out this morning from yesterday. Thank goodness. I think there was at least 12" of snow on the Ridge, substantially less at lower elevation. I'd guestimate maybe 4"-6" at most at the trailhead. Enough for snowmobiles on the Bike Path.

At about the halfway point up Liberty Springs there was definitely enough snow to use snowshoes. I actually wore my snowshoes from the get go, but that was a bit overly optimistic on my part. Took then off after the water crossing on the way down.

I was expecting it to be very icy under the new snow, but it was not too bad.

Really not enough snow to be critical of anyone not using snowshoes.

A couple of area of exposed wet and mud, but not too bad. Water crossing was not an issue.

Nice hiking with Mark on the descent.
