“Just” the Pemi Trail from the old Old Man viewing to Whitehouse Trail, then Cascade Brook Trail to Basin-Cascades Trail and down. Managed to get in 8 miles in spikes - snowshoes were not necessary. The trails were easy; the brook crossings were not, as expected. Lots of Basin-and-beyond tourists without traction which IMO is definitely needed right now. Spectacular bulging green-yellow ice in the brooks was beautiful! |
