Comments
Comments: As of today snowshoes are not needed nor helpful on any part of this trail… it might change as the week warms up, but snow depth isn’t too substantial. Snowshoes stayed on my pack. Road walk is lovely, packed down by snowmobilers. Winslow trail has packed snow, black ice, blue ice, exposed rock and trail in some places. The ice is not as bad as I expected it to be on Winslow, given how bad the ice gets towards the springtime. Barlow has seen a little less action, but the trail is packed and frozen. Pretty sure this trail did not see any snowshoes when broken out, trail is narrow. Surprisingly MUCH more ice than Winslow. Sharp spikes were necessary. Also exposed rock, etc.
