The only large-ish crossing was bridged, but melting fast |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One step over and one bushy conifer on Bunnell Notch. The conifer is laying long way in the trail and has had some work already done with a hand saw. There is a rather large herd path around it. It’s pretty far in, too. |

We wore snowshoes car to car. About half the hikers wore spikes and half wore snowshoes. The track is plenty wide and it was a pleasure to use snowshoes. The warm weather loosened up things a lot and some of the spikers ahead of us postholed a lot. With the warm weather and incoming rain…who knows what the trail will look like in a day or two. |
