Entered the forest just a few feet from my car, on the SW corner of the 'lot'. Avoided the signed No Trespassing property 20yds down the road. I basically set a line for the summit; found the woods a little to the west more open (some blow downs toward east). No snow anywhere.
Saw evidence of 'tank tread' and ditch digging in the woods; not sure if someone is planning on building in this location.
Found large pill jar on summit, but most contents were pretty wet (poured water from container). There was no plastic baggie, so put everything in a Ziplock plastic baggie before resealing the jar. This can be good or bad since the contents probably cannot dry out once sealed, and they will hopefully freeze as temps drop, and that may not be good either. Quick hike 45 min for last day of 2022. |
